I'm going to try this picture prompt and the six story challenge together.
Today's word - "Activate"
Open Your Eyes
You might want to close your eyes,
not look back.
Or hide under rose bush
forget the rack.
See, there is no darkness which
can erase
those images which caused your
mind to craze.
But activate those neurons now
open your eyes
turn, be brave, face the windows
of their lies.

This was wonderfully done, Maz! We can let the lies of others destroy us, or we can fight back with our own truth! XOXO
ReplyDeleteThanks Josie. Yes, let's fight back with the truth.. xxx
DeleteDark lies need to be exposed. Facing the light is the only way.
ReplyDeleteThanks Messymimi. The truth is the only way.. Today I bought two items at the supermarket. They were the same and the cashier only charged me for one. I checked my bill. I mean it could have been a bogof, but no she'd just made a mistake so I went back and told her. She was surprised that I'd come back as most people wouldn't. But to me it's a question of truth. And also if I'd taken it knowingly it's theft. It wasn't much money but....
DeleteAlways tempting to close our eyes to the reality of unpleasant situations but there's no moving forward until we look with eyes wide open. The truth is always there to be seen. It always comes down to whether or not we want to look.
ReplyDeleteWell done. Sorry I'm so late!
Thanks for your comment Girlie On The Edge. Yes, we need not be afraid of the truth - "The truth will set you free"
ReplyDeleteNot late, a pleasant surprise ... x
